I believe.

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware. - Martin Buber

I just wrote about this in my graphic organizer a few moments ago. Teehee. & I will write about it again, because that's how damn proud I am of it.

"In this journey to becoming a figure in the fashion industry, we really can’t tell where we’ll end up. All we can do is strive to be the greatest at what we want to pursue. & if it’s meant to be, we’ll make it & we’ll be proud!"

All one has to do is believe. Being a pisces, my saying is "I BELIEVE" and I really think it is true. It reflects my personality so much. I guess I am one true fishy.

Because with foundation from an amazing school (SoFA) I believe that each one of us will make it out there. Specially if one's passion is really strong, I believe that with a love for something, one can conquer anything!

Turn the fear of the unknown into curiosity

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. - John Stuart Mill

I really reckon that those who stick to one brand of clothing, to one particular style, or to simply ONE THING, they are really limiting their self and that they're missing out on great possibilities or finding a so much better outfit at a different store. Or looking even more unbelievable in that dress that they usually wouldn't wear.

I mean having your own sense of style is important, but that doesn't mean you must neglect the thousands of other type os styles out there.

If you're scared of a fashion faux pas, and you're afraid of the risk you'll take to look bold & daring..
Well you don't deserve to live in this hectic world of fashion.

Okay I was kidding.
I'm just saying..

Get out there try different clothes, change your hair every 6 months, visit a store you've never been to, wear that little black dress to the groceries (I don't know with you, but I would definitely do that) & experiment with different looks.

I'm afraid that this has turned into more of a ranting rather than a philosophical blog post.
Though, as my teacher has said.. anything that requires thinking is considered philosophy.
& I have put a lot of thought into this, therefore I will stick with it.

Structured Style

*May I just say that I am soooo much inspired by the fact that Rene Descartes used Algebra & Geometry as influence to his philosophies. & ever since I've made the graphic organizer, all I have been thinking about are structured pieces of clothing*

Here are my favorites.

It was like there was this switch in my brain that made me think of Math in a way that's really interesting & fun for me. Which is fashion.
I usually despise math. Just the sight of the word turns make my stomach twist & turn.

BE HAPPY. It's one way of being wise

Nothing is miserable unless you think it is so - Blessed Severinus Boethius

One of my Fashion Philosophies.
I totally worship the fact that the smile is the sexiest curve in a woman's body.

That is why in our lecture, Boethius' quote is what struck me the most. I really think it's important to think positive & to always be happy. Because it means everything, you don't stress yourself & you look best when you're happy.

We only live once. Better not waste those days frowning & being sad.

Wisdom begins in wonder

Tonight I write about my favorite philosopher, Socrates.
Socrates could neither read or right but he stood out with his strength & endurance. He is my favorite because though he was said to be the Wisest Man ever, he still did not believe it & went out to look for a person that is even wiser than he was. He failed to do so, & therefore concluded that he was the wisest because he realized his own ignorance. That is what I admire the most out of him.

Fashion and Eastern Wisdom

Hola! So this blog entry is dedicated to an assignment that our philosophy professor had given us. Basically, we're meant to write blog entries per modules that we will be discussing class.. & this one that you're reading right now is the 1st out of 6 that we have to write.

Blog entry #1 is to write about our module 3 topic: Eastern Philosophers. We also have to relate them to our fashion & style philosophy.. Now at first, I was all, "HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THAT???" But upon researching.. I actually found it possible.. in fact, I had quite a hard time picking which philosophical insights suited me best. Here's what I decided on per philosophical movement...
